U.S. Rep. Joe Wilson is now saying he was asked to read a script about arming toddlers, which is how his alarming remarks ended up in a clip from Sacha Baron Cohen's new show. "They said, 'Could you read this?'" Wilson told The Post and Courier. "And I thought, again, it was a continuation of my thoughts on Israel. I just simply read it without focusing on the words." ... Summerville Officer Shoots Two After They Hit Him With Car
There was an officer-involved shooting Friday morning in Summerville, where an officer has reportedly shot and injured two men after they accelerated a car toward him and hit him. The officer was responding to a report of two suspicious individuals. None of the three is seriously injured, per The Post and Courier.
