Developer Frank Cason has bought four more buildings in Cottontown, including two that he says will house restaurants.

In a press release, Cason says he's identified a restaurant client for 2150 Sumter St., a 1,000-square-foot building, and is seeking another restaurant client for the 4,000-square-foot 2146 Sumter St. The two buildings along with 2144 Sumter St. make up the Dave's Transmission property. Dave's appears to have recently closed.

A spokesperson said the restaurant's name will likely be announced after the first of the year.

Cason also bought the former Loomis Armored US property, which "would be perfect for a brewery or distillery," and a parking lot.

Cason already owns the Cottontown-area buildings that house The War Mouth, Indah Coffee Co., Circa Barbershop and Columbia Presbyterian Church.

The Cottontown neighborhood and the areas of Main Street just north of Elmwood continue to boom.
