COLUMBIA — The inaugural music festival for Field + Stream, a Southern magazine and retail brand recently acquired by country stars Eric Church and Morgan Wallen, is set for a rural gem in the Midlands, the festival announced.

Field + Stream Music Fest will take place Oct. 4-6 in Winnsboro, a small town along Interstate 77 about 34 miles north of Columbia.

Church, who bought the rights to the lifestyle brand in January with Wallen, will headline the two-day festival alongside Lainey Wilson.

Wilson is a Grammy-winning singer and songwriter who also stars in Paramount’s “Yellowstone.”

Eric Church is headlining the inaugural music festival from a brand he recently acquired, Field + Stream.

Church is a longtime country music staple known for hits like “Homeboy” and “Springsteen.”

Church, a 10-time Grammy winner, also owns a whiskey label and a bar in Nashville, where he recently underwent a 19-night residency of acoustic shows.

The music festival is the first of its kind from Field + Stream, a 150-year-old outlet focused on Southern outdoor lifestyle, like hunting and fishing. Church and Wallen bought the rights to the company from Dick’s Sporting Goods, according to news coverage announcing the sale.

While only Church and Wilson have been announced as headliners for the festival, it promises to feature local, regional and national music acts, as well as demonstrations and recreational activities aimed at outdoor enthusiasts.

“Attendees can explore exhibits by leading industry experts and brands in the field, and engage with the outdoor community through activities such as retriever and birds of prey demonstrations, calling and shooting competitions, and fly casting,” a March release from the festival stated.

Tickets range from $189 for a three-day general admission pass to more than $3,000 for three days of “Super VIP” access. Parking and camping are also available on the site.

The festival is slated for Carolina Adventure World in Winnsboro, a sprawling outdoor adventure property between I-77 and U.S. 21.
