If you’re a young professional wanting to get your networking on, head over to Cufflinks & Cocktails at SakiTumi Wednesday, March 19, from 6 to 9 p.m. Presented by Klean Kut Entertainment and The Talented Tenth, this free networking opportunity isn’t the kind of thing I normally write about, but the organizers smartly planned the event to coincide with Sushi and Martini Night at SakiTumi, where select sushi rolls are half off and, most importantly, all martinis, mojitos and margaritas are half off. Also, I really like cufflinks.
City Roots and Farm to Table Event Company’s Farm to Trunk events are always a great way to stock up on some tasty wines, and with spring (hopefully) finally settling in, now is a good time to load up on your spring and summer varieties. You can fill your trunk this Thursday, March 20, from 6 to 9 p.m. at City Roots at the Farm to Trunk to Benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters. Farm to Table Event Company is putting together a bowling team to raise money for Big Brothers Big Sisters, and ticket sales from this Farm to Trunk will go towards the team’s fundraising goal. There will be 20 wines from Advintage to taste and buy, appetizers, and local fresh foods to buy as well. Besides the normally great prices, if you buy wines from the Harvest Dinner Series, they’ll be at a bigger discount. Tickets are $20 and available in advance at cityroots.org.
Thursday night also marks the 12th annual Girls Night Out at EdVenture’s Congaree Terrace. Guests can gal around the reception with terrific cocktails, food, and music before enjoying a high-energy runway show with the latest fashion from Yigal Azrouël. There will also be a pop-up boutique where you can purchase Azrouël’s fashions. An exclusive VIP cocktail reception (already sold out) starts at 6:30 p.m. with general admission at 7 p.m. and the runway show starting at 8 p.m. Tickets are available at edventure.org or by calling 400-1160. Reserved seating is $100, and general admission is $50 with proceeds going to benefit Yes, Every Child Fund, EdVenture’s program to provide underserved families with $1 per person admissions to the museum.
