Name: Will Goodman Setting: Columbia Museum of Art (Arts & Draughts | 1515 Main St.)
What do you think is the biggest attraction for Arts & Draughts, the arts or the draughts?
It’s a cop-out to say both, but I’m going to say both. The arts are certainly made better by the draughts and vice versa.
How many of these events have you been to? Which was your favorite?
I think this is my fifth or sixth Arts & Draughts. I think my first time was the best, just because it was all so new and exciting.
If you could pick the lineup for the next Arts & Draughts, what bands would play?
The Restoration, Stagbriar, Dear Blanca, Those Lavender Whales and Small Sanctions.
The Restoration is one of my favorite local bands. Dear Blanca and Those Lavender Whales are good people, too. What is your favorite local beer?
I’m a big fan of anything River Rat does. The red ale has been my go-to recently.
I heard you will be moving away from Columbia. What will you miss the most?
The people. Columbia’s got a lot of interesting and unique people, and I’ll miss them the most.
If you met someone who was moving to Columbia what advice would you give them?
If you hear someone talking about how boring or lame Columbia is, they haven’t spent any time really seeing what this place has to offer. Explore the city for yourself, and it will reveal itself to you in a really interesting way that might surprise you.
