If people would listen and read between the lines maybe they would understand where the Lt Governor Andr'e Bauer was coming from.
in many ways he's right if you keep feeding people with money then they are not going to work or take care of their kids.
the govenment has took the idea of help to level that makes it easy for people to take advanage of the system.
i think what the Lt Governor was saying we need to stop handing out money to people who are out of control thinking that the more kids they have the more money they get.
as for the comparing to animals: read the dictionary:
any living thing thats not a plant, that was to me only a way of saying any living thing even humans or other will mulitiple if not control.

If people (Bauer included) would stop and get to know individuals that receive government assistance, maybe they would have the sense to realize why this statement is so offensive. "Welfare Queens" are a myth, they have been since Reagan coined the term. Nobody's flourishing off of government support, espcially in SC. None of the individuals on those welfare rolls live an enviable life. Go back to that dictionary, there's a separate entry for human beings, something about them is a little different, including basic dignity that deserves to be respected. Don't let Bauer off the hook so easy.
