Opinions on crab salad are violently divided. Fans of the deli standard will appreciate Hampton Place Café’s version, which combines just the right amount of mayonnaise with crunchy green bell pepper, mild red onion and shredded imitation crab — also known as surimi, which is made from processed Alaska pollock. The crabwich, a sort of crab salad-club sandwich marriage, combines crab salad with bacon, lettuce, tomato and grated cheddar cheese on toasted bread. The sandwich comes with a pickle spear, tortilla chips and a choice of potato salad, pasta salad or fruit. Hampton Place Café delivers for a $10 minimum.
