The family of Ben Arnold companies needs to be put in its place. First, they started charging Vista patrons for parking at bars and restaurants. Many people got upset at the establishments, but those properties are rented from The Arnold Companies. Not only that, they claim the largest wine and liquor distributor in the state. Now, they're charging for parking. Think about this... when you go to the Vista, you're paying them for parking, if you drink wine or liquor you're paying them with part of every drink you order, and the club or restaurant is paying them rent. Now, they've totally crossed the line. Vista After 5 just completed their 13th season as a charity fundraising event. Now the Arnold Companies is charging $5 per car to park at the Vista After 5 site. They're making money from people who come to help raise money for charity. How wrong is that? A boycott of the businesses in The Vista would send a message, but the most harm would be done to the individual restaurants and bars and not the Arnold Companies. The businesses have leases and will still have to pay rent. What I propose is drinking ONLY beverages not supplied by the Ben Arnold Company. Let's not do this just in The Vista, but every bar and restaurant in the state! THAT would hit them in the wallet and send a clear message that people who try to profit from charity fundraisers are not appreciated in this state! As for me, I'll take a taxi from here on out when I go toThe Vista. They can choke on their greedy, thieving, heartless practices!
