Maybe you already have your vacation planned and your child enrolled in camps for every week of the summer you’re in town. Or maybe you don’t even know what you’re doing this weekend.

Either way, summer is coming — just as it always does.

Luckily for you, Columbia has plenty to do during the sweltering months ahead (and not all of it is outdoors). That hasn’t always been the case, but these days there are concerts, festivals and cultural events happening year-round.

Of course, part of the charm of summer is getting away, and there’s plenty going on in surrounding cities, too.

Our 2014 Summer Guide covers it all — with information on everything from local pools and outdoor spots to baseball, fireworks, local and regional music events, and the Spoleto Festival.
