Big “Win” for Monster Burger

We like big things in America — big cars, big buildings, big burgers and big … other things. As part of its 2014 Xtreme Eating Awards, the Center for Science in the Public Interest (CSPI) found some pretty big calorie counts after surveying several chains including The Cheesecake Factory, Joe’s Crab Shack and Red Robin, which “won” the Monster Meal category for its monster (double patty) cheeseburger, bottomless steak fries and monster-sized milkshake.

For a mere 3,540 calories, all of this can be yours.

“It’s like eating seven McDonald’s Double Cheeseburgers washed down with a quart of Coke,” CSPI writes in its Nutrition Action newsletter.
