In a new short video, Kristian Niemi tells the story of how he fell in love with the space on Main Street that will become Bourbon, a Cajun/Creole restaurant with a heavy emphasis on the world’s greatest brown liquor. He’ll be releasing these teasers to show how the renovation and upfit of the space are proceeding.
As a chef and restaurateur, Kristian Niemi’s been involved in a lot of Columbia restaurants, from Mr. Friendly’s to Gervais & Vine; he currently owns Rosso.
Bourbon is slated to open later this year.
Meanwhile, in the other half of the Brennen Building, First Citizens Cafe opens next week. Yup: It’s a coffeeshop run by a bank.
