The Caribbean flavor seems to be exploding all over Columbia, as there has been a 94 percent increase in the opening of Caribbean restaurants in the past two years (this is completely unscientific data, but seems about right). The latest, Skyaa’s Caribbean Restaurant, Bar and Grill will celebrate its grand opening on August 1 at 11 a.m.
Located in Cayce, the opening will include complimentary samples, a $5.99 lunch special, and free lemonade and sweet tea. On the menu are Jamaican staples such as oxtail, curried goat, chicken, shrimp, red snapper and plantains to name a few. Looking for a menu suggestion? “If you've never tried Caribbean cuisine I’d definitely suggest you try the jerk chicken, which is marinated in the famous jerk sauce of Jamaica and grilled over an open flame until just right,” says Tonya Joiner, co-owner.
Skyaa’s can be found at 901 Holland Avenue, #B, Cayce, or check out their Facebook page for more information.
Discounts on restaurants, stores, shows, nightspots and more.
