Eat Fancy Desserts; Help Animals

The Oak Table is hosting Death by Dessert, a benefit dinner for The Animal Mission of the Midlands, on June 1 at 6 p.m. The Animal Mission is an organization that funds free spay and neuter programs in Richland, Lexington, Kershaw, Fairfield, Calhoun and Orangeburg counties. Pastry chef Charlie Charley Scruggs (The Oak Table), sous chef Charles Stricklin (The Oak Table), chef Austin Davis (The Oak Table), Chef Blake Faries (Saluda’s), Blythe Kelly (Bourbon Columbia) and Wes Fulmer (Motor Supply) will prepare desserts to be paired with select wines. Tickets are $65. Make reservations by calling The Oak Table at 563-5066.
