Beer and Chocolate Go Together

Girls Pint Out Meets This Week to Talk Valentine's Day Pairings

Keg Cowboy, a retail store in Lexington that sells an assortment of home brewing supplies and kits, will host Girls' Pint Out (GPO) this Wednesday, Feb. 5.

GPO — which we profiled back in November — is an all-female organization with chapters across the country that attempts to bring women together to discuss and, best of all, drink a large assortment of craft beers.

As Valentine's Day approaches, the Columbia chapter is meeting to learn about the best beer-and-chocolate combinations. Johnny Battles, owner of North Charleston-based Sweeteeth Chocolate, will also be in attendance to offer his expertise. The events lasts from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Call the Keg Cowboy (520-0404), or visit the South Carolina Girls' Pint Out Facebook page for more information.
