S.C. Think Tank Director Ashley Landess to Appear on Daily Show

Plus: Let It Snow

It's probably going to snow 2 to 4 inches in the Midlands tomorrow!

Ashley Landess, executive director of the South Carolina Policy Council, will appear on an upcoming segment of the Daily Show. She'll talk about South Carolina's refusal to accept federal money to expand Medicaid — a position she supports. She told The State she doesn't know when the piece will air. And lest you think Landess isn't in on the jokes that Jon Stewart and company are likely to make at her expense, she told the paper she doesn't mind — as long as her message gets out: "If they are going to make fun of me a little bit? Please. You know that there are anonymous bloggers who get paid in this state to talk about how tired I look. At least Jon Stewart will be clever about it."

South Carolina will keep its coveted "first in the South" primary status for the 2016 presidential election.

Recently elected South Carolina GOP Rep. Tom Rice has joined the No Labels campaign, which aims to develop policy ideas that Democrats, Republicans and independents can all agree upon.

Darius Rucker won a Grammy for Best Country Solo Performance for a cover of "Wagon Wheel."
