Gunmaker Feels Welcome in S.C.

PTR Industries, the latest gun manufacturer to move to South Carolina after its home state cracked down on firearms, tells FoxNews the Palmetto State has been wonderfully welcoming. The gunmaker relocated from Connecticut to Aynor, S.C.; its CEO says, “In Connecticut, we always felt like a dirty little secret. Down there [in S.C.], it’s very much the opposite.”

Temperatures are returning to their more normal winter levels after the Polar Vortex: Indeed, as a WIS weatherman noted on Twitter, when the temperature climbed to 34 degrees around noon today, it marked the end of 39 straight hours below freezing in the Midlands.

Environmentalists and people living near the proposed site of a massive potato farm on the banks of the Edisto River opposed the farm at a public hearing Tuesday.

South Carolina is merging its unemployment benefits system with Georgia and North Carolina.
